Background

Higherlife Foundation (HLF) has transformed lives through human capital development for over 25 years working in Zimbabwe, Burundi and Lesotho. To mark this milestone, we are publishing a book – telling our story through the voices and experiences of those supported by the Foundation across our three pillars, Education, Global Health and Rural Transformation and Sustainable Livelihoods. The 15 stories reflect our vision to provide a platform for people to fulfil their God-given purpose and embody our values – Faith in God, Love, Integrity, Knowledge, Accountability, Collaboration, Responsive Leadership and Execution. The book aims to demonstrate a model for sustainable, structured, homegrown philanthropy that can inspire other African leaders, influencers, and organisations to do the same.

About the book

The HLF 25th Anniversary book tells the stories of 15 people from three countries supported by the Foundation. Their stories demonstrate philanthropy’s catalytic role in impacting lives by providing them a platform to achieve their God-given purpose. Scholarship recipients, children living in orphanages, and medical doctors supporting health institutions, these stories highlight different ways Higherlife Foundation has intervened to transform lives and communities. They illustrate how the Foundation contributed to building better lives.
