Higherlife Foundation partners with Yale University

Mrs Tsitsi Masiyiwa, the Founder and Co-Chair of Higherlife Foundation, this week announced a mentorship partnership between her Foundation and Yale University, an ivy league US university, aimed at helping build highly skilled African talent.
The partnership, whose current phase will run for an initial three years (between 2016 and 2018), will provide access to 900 students from Zimbabwe, Rwanda and Ghana to pursue their studies at top American universities.

Announcing the partnership which will scale up the Yale Young Africa Scholars (YYAS) programme, Mrs Masiyiwa, a founding member of the Africa Philanthropy Forum, said she hoped the partnership would inspire other organizations to invest in Africa’s future through investing in children’s education and in youth mentorship.
