NGO games in pictures

Recently, Higherlife Foundation participated in the Inter-NGO games. We participated in different sporting disciplines including volleyball, football and netball.

Different departments under the HLF family converged in competitive cheer, during the NGO games.

The Inter-NGO games saw different institutions in the non-profit sector coming together to unwind and refresh. They ran under the theme – it is not just a game, it’s a cause.

Higherlife Foundation’s men’s football team went through the first round with ease, recording a draw and two victories. However, they narrowly lost to The Halo Trust by one goal in the knockout stages.

The games showed us that in our different offices we have hidden talent and some faces could have easily featured in the elite leagues.

In Volleyball, the team was easily among the best performers. During the preliminary rounds, we were seen as the favourites.

Even our Country Director, Pastor Philani Nyatsanza came out to play.

So good was the team that opponents were suspecting that we enlisted services of professional Volleyball players. Heartbreak came in the semi-final, when we lost our match against PSI.

In Netball, we were eliminated in the first round. The team, however, showed great potential – with a bit of training they can become a formidable unit.

There was a healthy crowd that came out to support.

Overally, it was a healthy day to network with other institutions in the development sector and also interact among ourselves outside the office space.

Our Country Director, Pastor Philani Nyatsanza also spoke on STAR FM, explaining the work we do as Higherlife Foundation.
