Recently Ruzivo Smart Learning, Zimbabwe’s leading e-learning platform for primary and secondary students powered by Higherlife Foundation and Econet Wireless recently celebrated reaching over 150 000 users on the platform nationwide!
To kick off celebrations of this great milestone, Higherlife Foundation held a celebratory ceremony at Tangenhamo Primary School in Chitungwiza – a school that is benefiting highly from the blended approach that Ruzivo Smart Learning offers.
Launched in 2016, Ruzivo is changing the narrative on learning in Zimbabwe. Through its rich and vast array of exercises and subjects available on the platform, Ruzivo is relevant and tailored to meet the needs of Zimbabwean students anywhere anytime. “My pupils used to perform below average but now with the diverse, wide range of questions, syllabus based content on Ruzivo, there is a marked improvement. Mark my words the pass rate will double from last year’s!” expressed Canann Kawina, a grade 7 teacher from Mupambe primary school, Binga.
With 8000 students joining the platform every week, Ruzivo Smart Learning is allowing quality education to be more accessible to a larger group of students who ideally have no access across Zimbabwe. Learners in remote areas are now learning how to use computers and smart devices with Ruzivo allowing them to pit themselves against private school learners in Zimbabwe. “Ruzivo introduced me to computers and tablets that I did not know how to use and so because of Ruzivo I am now super!” joyfully expressed Mahlatsi Moyo, a grade 7 student from Jahunda primary in Gwanda.
The celebrations saw students, teachers, Government officials and parents testify on how Ruzivo has impacted learning in their lives and added value to the education value chain.
