  • Supporting farming communities toward a more food secure Zimbabwe

Smallholder farmers are the ones who put food on our tables. They are the ones who care for our land and water resources. In the end, they will be the ones to propel the economic growth and development of Africa in the 21st century and we at Higherlife Foundation firmly believe this.

Through our ReImagine Rural Africa initiative, we are training
rural communities across Zimbabwe in climate-smart agriculture practices specifically, the “Pfumvudza model” developed by Foundations for Farming and providing them with farming inputs, technical and logistical support to improve their crop yields; enhancing food security for their families and the nation. To date 9,853 smallholder farmers have been trained in y1 & y2 in climate smart agriculture, of which 60% are women, impacting 72,000 vulnerable people.

Our training is renewing hope across rural Zimbabwe. See how our journey reimagining farming in our communities started.
